Highworth's Local Gas and Heating Engineer, Working From the Town Itself

Yes, Highworth is my base, at SN6 7NS. Jobs in the town do not involve a long drive, which makes it easy to fit in a boiler service, a gas job or a plumbing repair for homes on the High Street or the estates around the centre.

Many of Highworth's Elizabethan-era High Street buildings have heating systems that were added or altered over the years. A replacement sized to the building's real heat demand, rather than a like-for-like swap, usually suits these properties better and avoids a boiler that is too big or too small.

Yes. Highworth's period cottages can have unusual pipe routes, thick walls and very little space for a boiler. Let me know roughly how old the cottage is and where the current boiler sits, and I can talk through servicing, repairs or a replacement.

All five come up: boiler servicing, boiler breakdown, boiler installation, gas engineer work and plumbing. The newer estates around the centre tend to have combi boilers suited to routine servicing, while older homes nearer the High Street more often raise questions about replacements and pipework.

Blunsdon, Stratton St Margaret and Haydon Wick are all close to Highworth, and I cover them along with Cricklade, which shares the SN6 postcode district. Each of those places has its own page on this site with local details.

Highworth sits on one of the highest points in the area, and homes on exposed ground can lose heat faster in wind and cold weather. That makes a correctly sized boiler and radiators more important. If some rooms never seem to warm up, mention it when you get in touch.

I support three local charities as part of running a business rooted in Highworth and the surrounding area. You can read more about them on the home and about pages of this site.

Yes. Plumbing is one of my services, covering dripping taps, leaking pipes, bathroom plumbing and pipework repairs. A dripping tap wastes water and can stain a basin over time, so it is worth mentioning even if it seems minor.

The historic centre has narrower streets and limited parking near some older buildings. If you have a driveway, rear access or a nearby car park you would recommend, add it to your message so I can plan the visit around it.

The data plate shows the make, model and often the year the boiler was made. With that, plus your SN6 postcode and when it was last serviced if you know, I can prepare properly for a service or repair at your Highworth home.
